Dream Stuff
More for me than you...
Writing
To dream that you are writing, signifies communication with someone or with your conscious mind. Alternatively, writing refers to an error in judgment or a mistake that you have made. The dream may also be a metaphor that you are "right" or that your political views are right leaning.
To see ancient writings in your dream, suggests that there is something you need to learn and understand from the past.
To dream of your hands, represent your relationships with those around you and how you connect with the world.
To dream that you are holding hands with someone, represents love, affection and your connection with that person. Your dream may also reflect anxieties about losing touch with him/her or that you are drifting apart.
To see numbers in your dream, symbolize material gains and possessions. You are keeping close track of things. Alternatively, numbers indicate that you are being over analytical or rational. Or that you need to evaluate a situation more thoroughly. Numbers also carry much personal significance. They may represent a special date, address, age, lucky number or something meaningful and significant to only you.
To hear numbers in your dream, mean that you need to pace yourself in some situation. Or perhaps you need to calm down and take things a little slowly.
To see your legs in your dream, indicate that you have regained confidence to stand up and take control again. It also implies progress and your ability to navigate through life. If your legs are weak, then you may be feeling emotionally vulnerable. If you dream that you are crossing your legs, then it implies defensiveness or your close minded attitude. To see someone else's legs in your dream, represent your admiration for that person. You need to adopt some of the ways that this person does things. To dream that you are hugging someone, symbolizes your loving and caring nature. You are holding someone or something close to your heart. Alternatively, it may indicate your need to be more affectionate. To dream that you are touching someone or something, indicates that you are trying to communicate your feelings and your need for contact. You may be trying to evaluate a situation and gather information about your environment. To dream that you are being touched, represents your closeness and/or relationship with a particular person. It may also mean that you are connected and well in tune with an aspect of yourself. Alternatively, being touched may be a metaphor that you are feeling emotional and sensitive. Key To see a key in your dream, symbolizes opportunities, access, control, secrets, freedom, knowledge or responsibilities. You may be locking away your own inner feelings and emotions.Or you are unlocking the answer to some problem. In particular, a ring of keys, represents status, authority, and power. It also highlights your adaptability to a situation. If the key is gold, then it suggests that influence, power and wealth will give you access to almost anything you want. To dream that you lose your keys, signify fears of losing control of yourself or losing your position or status in life. It may also indicate unexpected changes, frustrations, and unpleasant adventures. The dream could be analogous to lost or missed opportunities. If you give your key away, then it suggests that you have given up control of some situation or responsibility. To dream that you find a key, indicates that you have found a solution to a problem. To hear the sound of keys rattling, indicate that you have the right attitude toward life. You are heading in the right direction and asking all the right questions in the process. It is also a sign of decisive action. To see broken keys in your dream, represent a lost in status. You are denied access to a place where you were previously allowed. If the key is rusty, then it symbolizes a talent or skill that you have neglected. |

Fifteen Fictional Characters
Don't take too long to think about this. Name fifteen FICTIONAL characters
(from television, films, plays, books, etc.) who have influenced you in some way and/or will always stick with you.
List the first fifteen you think of in no more than fifteen minutes. Tag fifteen
or more of your friends, including me, because I'm interested in seeing which characters my friends choose.
To do this, just go to your "NOTES" tab on your profile page, copy and paste these rules in a new note, type in your fifteen picks, and tag your 15 friends.
Here are mine:
1. Detective Robert Goren (Law & Order: CI)
2. Carrie Bradshaw (Sex In The City)
3. Chloe (Chloe)
4. Holly Golightly (Breakfast At Tiffany's)
5. Detective Elliot Stabler (Law & Order: SVU)
6. Jack McCoy (Law & Order)
7. Agent Dana Scully (X-Files)
8. Rose DeWaitt Bukator (Titanic)
9. Molly Jorgensen (A Summer Place)
10. Nicole Wallace (Law & Order: CI)
11. Victoria Hudson (Another World)
12. Marianne Dashwood (Sense & Sensibility)
13. Cissy Davis (A Family Affair)
14. Hayley Vaughn (AMC)
15. Angela Chase (My So Called Life)
(from television, films, plays, books, etc.) who have influenced you in some way and/or will always stick with you.

1. Detective Robert Goren (Law & Order: CI)
Who doesn't love him? He is tall, dark & handsome, smart, intriguing and always slightly on the edge of losing his mind.
2. Carrie Bradshaw (Sex In The City)
You either totally identify with her, you know someone just like her or you kind of wish you were her.
3. Chloe (Chloe)
Chloe is the lost little girl playing VERY adult games. In the end she probably understands people better than most.
4. Holly Golightly (Breakfast At Tiffany's)
It's Audrey! Need I say more?
5. Detective Elliot Stabler (Law & Order: SVU)
I call him Un-Stabler. Smokin hot and just a bit nutsy but you know his heart is always in the right place.
6. Jack McCoy (Law & Order)
Jack's eyebrows remind me of Sam The Eagle from the old Muppet Show. His Opening & Closing arguements always get me.
7. Agent Dana Scully (X-Files)
Practical, rational, she ALWAYS drives and can run in those heels but... when presented with the most bizarre, plausible realities she always listens to Molder.
8. Rose DeWaitt Bukator (Titanic)
Who doesn't love Rose? By the time the big boat is about to nosedive you have a favorite character for life!
9. Molly Jorgensen (A Summer Place)
This movie I first watched at 2am when I was 15 and had pneumonia. I couldn't believe how risky the topics were for being so old & I just fell in love with Molly.
10. Nicole Wallace (Law & Order: CI)
Nicole is rotten and calculating and capable of absolutely anything and everything. What you & I wish we could do she accomplishes while masquerading as an academic scholar.
Complex, emotional and truly off the wall. Vicky was a bundle of crazy energy and somehow always got by by the skin of her teeth.
12. Marianne Dashwood (Sense & Sensibility)
I love period pieces & I love them even more when they include Kate Winslet.
13. Cissy Davis (A Family Affair)
I was 6 and an only child. Cissy was the big sister that I wished I had.
14. Hayley Vaughn (AMC)
It's Kelly Rips, before she was Kelly Ripa (tm). She's great now but at the end of the day, this chick can ACT. Hayley was that character that have every calamity happen to her & somehow with Kelly Rips you believed it all.
The biggest cancellation mistake, to this day. Angela was SO relatable and represented every moody, confused teenaged girl. She said what most girls can't. She spoke for a generation,
Now go on, think of your 15!

Five For Friday
1. American Girl Dolls are B's obsession.
Ob-Ses-Sion.
She spends HOURS on the American Girl Doll site. Happily discovered some items at Borders & then the mail catalogs follow her all over the house. I need to make LOTS of money just to allow for the AGD Xmas for B.
2. Cheesey Macaroni Chili
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 tablespoons oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, seeded and diced
2 celery ribs, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28-ounce) can stewed tomatoes
1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans, drained
1 1/2 cups frozen corn
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons crushed dried oregano
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup elbow macaroni
3/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- Heat a large, heavy pot over medium-high heat. Add oil and sauté the onion, bell pepper, celery and garlic until onion is translucent and vegetables are tender then add ground beef. Stir in the tomatoes, beans, corn, cumin, chili powder, oregano, salt and black pepper. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
- Stir cooked macaroni into the pot and cook for 3 to 4 minutes over low heat, uncovered. Remove from heat and fold in cheese, adjust seasonings if desired. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
3. Wish Upon A Hero is a clearing house for people in need. The Tagline is that anyone can be a hero. Some of the requests are from people in serious need for food, clothing, etc. Others would just like cards or stickers to cheer up a hospitalized child. Take a look, maybe you can HELP.
4. The Elf On The Shelf is a huge Christmas tradition in this house. "Ralphie" magically appears on a bookshelf and watches over the kids. He reports good & bad begavior back to Santa. The catch? He moves by magic.

Love The Last One!
It has been a tough year so far; but I've made it!!!
But not everyone is as lucky as I am......
The economy is so bad that I got a pre-declined credit card in the mail.
I ordered a burger at McDonald's, and the kid behind the counter asked, "Can you afford fries with that?"
CEO's are now playing miniature golf.
If the bank returns your check marked "Insufficient Funds," you have to call them and ask if they mean you or them .
Hot Wheels and Matchbox stocks are trading higher than GM.
McDonald's is selling the 1/4 'ouncer'.
Parents in Beverly Hills and Malibu are firing their nannies and learning their children's names.
A truckload of Americans was caught sneaking into Mexico .
Dick Cheney took his stockbroker hunting.
Motel Six won't leave the light on anymore.
The Mafia is laying off judges.
BP Oil laid off 25 Congressmen.
Congress says they are looking into the Bernard Madoff scandal. Oh Great!! The guy who made $50 Billion disappear is being investigated by the people who made $1.5 Trillion disappear!
And, finally...
I was so depressed last night thinking about the economy, wars, jobs, my savings, Social Security, retirement funds, and our bleak future, that I called the Suicide Lifeline and was connected to a call center in Pakistan When I told them I was suicidal, they got all excited, and asked if I could drive a truck.

I get to interview these two
