Cruisin' Into Christmas Here!

I can't remember the last time I had Christmas so under control. Everything is wrapped, house is clean, kids are playing. Christmas Eve dinner of Lasagna is in the oven. Red Velvet cupcakes are cooling & we baked more cookies specifically for Santa. I did discover that drinking while wrapping isn't necessarily a great idea. I woke this morning with a headache & NO idea where I hid the presents!

Did good though. American Girl Doll & Monster High Dolls are in the house. Ultimately those things mattered more than anything else. Em finished wrapping her gifts last night & looked under the tree and said, "I don't even care if Santa comes! We've done so much for each other!"  I was stunned & then so happy to hear that.

She gets it. REALLY *gets* it, as usual.

Are You There God, It's Me Pip?!

It has been a week, let me tell ya.

And I just drew a COMPLETE blank as to WHY, it has been a week!

Yeah. That's the shape my brain is in & there isn't even any Vodka to blame it on!  Work is going REALLY well.  A serious new project is underway with lots of connections, lots of support & a clear (somewhat easy almost) path. I really need to get myself together so that I can iron out an outline of what I need to accomplish & by when. I NEED to do that, like tomorrow.

M's latest eye drop to keep the pressure down is WORKING! It dropped 10 whole points since last week and as of now, no more surgery is imminent. I mean, it could still happen sure, but this is the lowest her pressure has been sinvce July. That in itself is a HUGE victory.

Huge.

The DJ & I are talking constantly. I have come to the conclusion that it's heading somewhere & even if its just good friends I'll be very happy. He is such a great guy & a good egg.  Really makes me laugh, (I've been nicknamed Pip) we think alike so our humor is similar & that keeps me on my toes. I haven't been this happy to meet someone new in a VERY long time.

Rockin Around The Christmas Tree...

The kids Christmas show is tomorrow night. That means I have been listening to them warble practice their tonedeafness songs ALL NIGHT.

Little miss candy cane striped tights up there *is* a show girl after all so it is all "I'm a performer".

Seriously.

She's also in the very front again this year. She says its because she knows all the "hand motions" and keeps singing when everyone else forgets.

I know a bunch of hand motions too. I'd like to send them Disney's way.  They didn't respond yet which is pretty funny considering I'm not just going a way. I have an interview with their skaters this week! I did my checking & it's not legal at all to swipe my stuff & publish it without my consent so...

Either pay me or cease & desist.

The DJ & I are still messaging back & forth crazily.

Oh and pray, cross fingers, whatever. Maya has an eye appointment tomorrow.  As of last week it looked like more surgery is imminent. Pray her newest eye drop is a miracle in a .5 ml bottle.
