Reunion of Sorts

The other day it was the first dry day in years days so I figured I had better get my kids to the park. Love this neighborhood and the park is fantastic. They've renovated in recent years so the playground is huge and across the street is a softball league, basketball, tennis courts, plus room to play whatever else you like. I mentioned to a friend that I was going & she decided to go with her boys as well. H. & I have known each other since grade school. Since we were my kids age. That just is mind blowing to me. She reminded me the other day of her mom chaperoning us on our 5th grade field trip. I had completely forgotten. We are both Facebook diehards & have reunited with a bunch of people from school thru there. We both put out feelers the other day and by 1pm we had 2 other former best friends meeting up with us. Truly old home week. It was like there was no time lapse at all. Even more amazing as we sat for 3 hours catching up was the pile of kids between us.

Something I Never Thought I'd See

My 7 year olds teacher added me as a friend on Facebook. Emmy took over the message when I left it open by accident. She wanted to send Mrs. Butka a note. This is what I have seen today:

Emily is a sweet, funny girl and I am glad she was in my class. Hope her health stays steady over the summer. Tell her to make sure she visits me next year!
